We see local, state and federal budget cuts every day.
It is safe to say that education has taken the brunt of the slashing. With public education under attack, what can you do to ensure that all the children of Galveston’s public school system get a fair shake?
Support the Galveston Independent School District Educational Foundation. We are a nonprofit dedicated to supporting teachers and classrooms within GISD.
In short, we raise money for the things the school district cannot pay for. Supporting the foundation is investing in Galveston’s future.
Most people cannot afford a private-school education, and it is our duty to make sure the students of Galveston have every advantage.
